Our Founder - Liam Brennan MCIOB
Liam is a seasoned Construction Professional with a rich background as a Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager, having worked with leading Main Contractors and Developers on numerous landmark projects in central London. Additionally, he founded and owns Polaris Construction Consultants, a SME business offering construction consultancy services.
As an advocate for sustainable development, Liam aims to reshape the traditional development landscape, prioritising sustainability in his business approach. This commitment, coupled with his passion for environmental conservation, innovative and sustainable development, modern construction methods, and biophilic design, led to the establishment of Polaris Passivhaus Developments and its sister company, Polaris Passivhaus Consult + Construct.
With a deep understanding of sustainable development and various modern construction methods and practices, he plans to leverage these insights for the growth of both companies. Liam strongly believes in creating a built environment that maximises efficiency, minimises energy consumption throughout its life cycle, and reduces ecological impact, always striving to enhance ecosystems wherever possible.
His qualifications are extensive, including being a Certified Passivhaus Consultant, holding a HNC in Construction, a BSc in Quantity Surveying, a PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification, and Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) status with the Chartered Institute of Building. He is also working towards achieving Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) status with the Society for the Environment by Q4 2024. These credentials are crucial for the professional accreditation and affiliation needed for the foundational growth and evolution of both companies.
Apart from his professional pursuits, Liam is an avid thrill-seeker who enjoys outdoor activities, particularly water sports like scuba diving, paddle boarding, and kite surfing. He is also a proud owner of two Cockapoos, Milly and Teddy.
